As a result of the heavy rains experienced over the past few weeks, the grounds in several areas of Veterans Memorial Park that have traditionally been used for parking for the July 4th Celebration are too saturated to be able to park vehicles on this year. As a result, spectators coming to the celebration & fireworks should be aware that available parking in Veterans Memorial Park will be limited, and they may need to find other parking options in the area.

JULY 4 CONCERT GOERS SHOULD EXPECT TRAFFIC DELAYS & RESTRICTIONS

Patrons of a concert that has recently been scheduled at the Fair & Expo Center on July 4 should expect that traffic control for the Town of Henrietta’s annual Independence Day Celebration will result in significant traffic delays and even restrict access to the Fair & Expo Center at times.

The concert was originally scheduled at another venue but was relocated to the Fair & Expo Center just last week. The Fair & Expo Center, also known as the Fairgrounds, is located on East Henrietta Road, near Calkins Road. Plans for the Independence Day Celebration were made months ago and the traffic restrictions are the same as they have been every year in the past. The restrictions are necessary because of the need to move several thousand cars out of the various parking locations and out of the area after the fireworks conclude.

There will definitely be some period of time where vehicles will not be able to easily reach the Fair & Expo Center. Therefore the Town of Henrietta wanted to make sure we get word out so that people are not caught unaware of the situation. Because of the need to keep traffic flowing, officers will not be able to converse with motorists individually to give them information or find out where they are headed. Read More

Now’s The Time… Print E-mail

Are you considering installing a shed, deck, fence, or pool this summer?

If so, now is the time to get your application in so you can be ready for installation once the spring weather arrives. The application process takes roughly 2 weeks this time of year, but once spring arrives, it can take longer for a Building Permit to be issued because of the volume of applications we receive. Building Permits for these items are good for one year from date of issue, so it’s not too early to apply. These permits and many more can be found by visiting the link below . If you have any question, please feel free to contact the Building & Fire Prevention Department at (585) 359-7060.
